At the end of 1928 architect Pavel Janak initiated and organized urban concept of Osada Baba project, which was designed by himself.
Janak's mansion is located at the popular place in colony with unobstructed views of the city. Architect developed three variants of the house. The building was then based on that very modest version.
Architect designed house very succinctly and clearly with indented upper floor open onto the terrace which was zoned only doors and windows and a flat roof. Design is strongly influenced by Functionalism
(Le Corbusier), just as we can observe the influence of Czech Cubism (Josef Gocar).
Inside the building has gradually differentiated spaces according to their functionality. The connecting element of the interior became a central spiral staircase. In the basement were originally operating room of the house and garage. On the ground floor with direct access to the garden terrace didn't missing undivided space of living room, dining room and small kitchen. On the first floor, then had Janak bedrooms, on the north side of the dressing room and bathroom.
